Hey all, I'm in the research phase of my audio purchasing and I'm looking for some advice on front component speakers. At this point I have seen the Alpine SPS-600C. I've never used a component speaker system before so I have no idea what to be looking for. Any advice would be great right now. Thanks.

Component Suggestions
it varies there are a ton of great 2-3 way component setups. some with say 8", 61/2" and a tweeter others with just a mid and a tweeter. There are a ton of great components out there on the market. Some of the best are focal and cdt, but bang for your buck check out Kicker. Also for components to really shine usually require a aftermarket amp upwards of 100x4.
Thanks for the suggestions Todd, I've never used kicker before but hear good things on the forum. Also the amp I already knew about because I read a thread you had posted about using an amp for the front components and powering the rears via the HU. If that is true then do I really need a 4 channel amp or can I use a small 2 channel? Also where abouts should I be mounting this amp? In the trunk with the sub amp or somewhere closer to the speakers? Thanks
i would get a 4 channel ideally and run your components and rear 6x9s off it. As for location of the amp put it in the trunk it doesnt have to be near the speakers. your going to put your crossovers near the speakers.

the alpine components I mentioned have a built in crossover. Should I be using something other than that?
