Can 05-10 key fobs be matched to the car for locking/ unlocking doors (not starting), like 98 to 04 key fobs can be added to those cars? My plan is to just put the key that came with this 07 under the steering column cover so I can use any key cut for the ignition rather than spending $75 plus each for new keys, but I would like to be able to lock and unlock the doors with a fob.

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but I bought two brand new four-button Chrysler clone fobs from that big auction website for less than $20, had the key blanks cut at Home Despot for $2 each, and programmed them myself. $24 for two working four-button keys.

I only have 1 key/ fob for the one I just purchased and you have to have 2 to add an extra new one I have been told, which makes no sense, if you can message me the person or business on that auction website where you found the deal I would appreciate it.
