Hey! I'm looking to supercharge my 5.7 Chrysler. I'd like to add a significant amount of power, but I know the transmission (NAG1) isn't exactly the most reliable. If I were to add anywhere from 35-60% HP gain, would I have to worry so much about the transmission? I've thought of trying to do a turbo 400 swap, but at the same time, I like the idea of having 5 gears. If I were to make my transmission shift a little harder with a tune, would that help?

Also, anyone have any recommendations for a nice sounding exhaust, budget $600-800? I'd like it to be semi-quiet until I put my foot down!

Thank you to anyone who helps! This helps me out a lot.

You're more app to blow the bottom end of the 5.7 out since none of it's forged if you have too much boost than have trouble with the transmission. That is unless you have one that's a problem child.
