Good afternoon everyone!
I'm new to these forums, as I have just bought by first Chrysler 300! Yea...
It's a 2005 with 229,000 kms on it.3.5L Touring edition, non AWD. I got it certified/e-tested so I'm not worried about it too much. Plus I also have a brother in law who works at a chrysler dealer as a mecahnic for the last 20+ years.
I do have some issues with the car I'd like to solve, first one being the NAV unit not working. I'm struggling with the idea of replacing/fixing what's there. The screen is blank on it, and when I turn it on, the only thing that shows is the words - "no cd inserted" on the dash board. The lights on the buttons all work, but no screen and no sound :( I've done some searching through the forums about replacement and aftermarket type stuff, but my dilemma is, I would like to be able to use the buttons on the steering wheel. Is there an aftermarket option that would allow use of those buttons for volume control and whatnot?
As this is my first newer car in a while (I own a 2007 CCaliber and a 1983 Fitfh Ave) I realize it will be a steep learning curve, but I'm looking forward to learning about the car and what's possible with respect to appearance and performance. I'm using it as a daily driver (12 kms one way to work) and sometimes on weekends. How can I make it more fuel efficient? Get better performance, and do it up nicely? Tinited windows will be one of my first things as for apprearance. Stereo solution next. And than it's all up in the air from there.

Any and all suggestions welcome!

PS, I'm in the finance industry so I'd like to keep it as classy as possible.

Thanks for the suggestions with the NAV unit, my biggest issue is the screen just doesn't turn on, and there is no sound at all from it. So I have no idea if it even works. I have tried turning it on and the only indication of any activity of it, is it says that there is no cd inserted on the dash display - not the radio itself. I'm thinking I might give up on the stock unit and go with a Clarion head unit with the steering wheel control adapter. At least I'll have music. I'm not so much worried about the NAV.
I've been driving it pretty easy, and the mileage seems alot better then my Fifth..lol which really shouldn't be difficult at all. I'll look into this predator module more though, sounds like an interesting idea.

Thanks again
