2006 300C 281,000 runs great, bought it new, incredible dependability. My original Cats lasted 12 years and were still good but the flex pipe needed replacement.
Because of design had to throw out two good cats just to replace the flex pipe. Chose to use AM parts and they only lasted three years when the flex pipes on both
cats breaks again. Once again both cats are good but because of the flex pipe it sounds like a truck.
Is there a fix that can be obtained to cover the existing flex, whether with a piece to fit over or a high-heat tape?? New dealer cats now cost $1,650 each, just way too much.
