You don't have to..but the facia is 100 times easier to remove than the fender..lol. Plus it's much easier to re align the facia with the fenders.

Check in the knowledge base for a thread containing the 300 manuals as you can download the service manual and it will give you step by step to take off the fender.

BPS has it, and there indeed isn't a dang thing in the service manual for the fenders..that's retarded.

If you want some more info on it you can check out the parts manual on page 658 and it'll show the various screws/bolts etc.
