Hiya Folks,
My name is Shannon and I bought a loaded '06 SRT8 on eBay in Nov 2008. We had a bad eBay experience before (I bought a '99 Suburban that blew the motor on the way home), so my wife was very reluctant buying out of town again. However, this SRT8 had just 1800 miles, a clean carfax & is in mint condition, so I convinced my wife it'd be a perfect replacement for her aging '98 Malibu LS (heh heh). I picked up the SRT8, drove it to Austin late at night and went to bed.
Early the next morning, she drove it around the block with our two young kids & me in the back seat. Everyone was still in their PJs, playing with all the lux gadgets & giddy as Christmas morning when she chirped the tires shifting into 2nd. She steered it back home, parked and then closed the garage door right onto the hood. God I love that woman.
So our SRT8 has one minor "appearance mod" :i_rolleyes: I intend to upgrade performance beginning with air, exhaust & probably a Predator tune. Can anyone recommend a good performance shop in Central Texas?
What do you think? What mods would you suggest if you had a couple grand and new 2006 SRT8 to play with? I've been lurking here for a few weeks & really appreciate your contributions. What a great community!
