I bought a new 2012 300S back in May and am LOVIN it. But it is being attacked by tiny ants. This past Saturday I noticed ants all over the front-and inside the engine bay. I washed the car and later in the day they were back. I took a 300 mile trip on Sun-Mon and they were gone. I washed the car when I got back yesterday and put the car cover on. This morning it was fine. I took my car cover off and went to work. When I got home-I started to put my car cover on-and noticed piles of ants in various places on it. I did not see that there was anything on it that they were after. I am afraid to spray the car with ant spray-for fear of what it might do to the finish. I try to keep the car very clean-vacuum it out-no food left inside and so forth. I have not seen them inside or towards the rear of the car. I do live on the edge of the woods and under trees. We have 3 other cars and I have never seen ants on any of the them-so I don't "think" that it is stuff falling from the trees-but not sure. I have seen the same type ants a number of times on my front porch-which is a good way away from the car parking area. Not inside the house-but marching across the front porch. Ideas-thoughts?
