Some deep thoughts on your question
I have learned from my past two Mopars - my wifes 2002 PT Cruiser Dream Series I (inca gold) and my current 2007 300C AWD that mods come from the heart. I do not mean to offend, but here is my own feelings on how I have approached car modifications.
When I bought my wife the PT, it was the 1st modified car I had ever owned, although it just happened to be modified by Chrysler. That was enough for me (or so I thought). Then things happened (inspiration or whatever). I joined my 1st car internet forum. Then I joined a local PT group and went to some M&G's. The ultimate get together I went to was Cruise The Falls II in Niagara Falls. 515 PT Cruisers. During all of this time I just found myself looking at other cars until a spark inside of me led me to a mod. I looked at cars at M&G's, read about people cars in the PT forums, and googled PT's in general. I ended up with various mods that won me a few trophies at shows. Now I get the 300C, and learning from the past immediately joined this and a few other lx forums. I read threads. I googled my car. I just poked around until my heart told me what to do (my only problem is for my economic situation my heart is expensive).
In other words, to ask such a general question about your car, I personally would be fearful to answer because I will tell you what I like in general, tell you what I did to MY car, and you might go out and do the same to your car. You may listen to others tell tell you their favorite mods and you might do those mods too. Then, a few months and a few thousand dollars later you might look at your car and not like what you see. Why? Because I believe brainstorming about personal touches to your car with others on a broad basis risks taking the personality out of your ride (IMHO) because I fear you might "just do it" without really painting a picture of what yuour future ride might look like before you take the first step. I mean, I've asked opinions here. But they have been "that last question" opinion - for instance, I already knew I wanted a grille, did my research, narrowed it down to a couple on my own, and then I pulled the opinion card out. But it was only for a choice of 2 of one item. Not about a generality of what should I do with my car?
Sorry about being long winded. I guess I'm passionate about what I do to my ride, and the mods I do are for me and nobody else. My mods are not somebody else's idea of what I should do (and nobody here in this forum knows me, so how could they know what I like?).
I probably did a crappy job answering your question :wavey:
