I am trying to install an XM radio kit in my 300 Touring - has a standard Chrysler stereo set, but it has a Chrysler radio antenna input:doh:. I need to insert an antenna adaptor between the radio & the stock antenna, & I can't find an antenna 'converter' to go from the chrysler antenna to a standard antenna connection, & then from the standard antenna conection to the chrysler radio antenna input. any suggestions?
I have an XM commander in my jeep . Mine has it's own antenna and works off the stock deck with an FM modulator . Put the radio on 88.1 and I'm in business . Didn't have to tap the stock antenna output at all.....
I was actually able to use the original Chrysler antenna for my Sirius adn Alpine head unit... Aslong as all the voltage is the same, not sure why you couldn't splice into it... Good Luck either way..
thanks, guys, I may just have to plug into the dreaded AUX input...I hate having wires sticking out of everything...the xm radio is a SkyFi3, which has a VERY weak FM modulator, I was trying to see if I could boost the FM signal the stereo would be receiving.
