Hi
I live in a suburb of Vancouver BC and have a 2005 300C that I bought new. I've had 4 Chryslers over the last 20 years. Obviously reasonably happy. BUT
I have had my first experience with "limp home mode" in the last month. At first I thought it was because I'd got some water into a connection when washing out the bugs in the radiator from a recent trip, but that got dried out and problem continues. My mechanic says it means there is a problem with one of the transmission input speed sensors and the only solution is to tear down the transmission to replace them since they are inside - a $2,500 - $3,000 task.
The car is 10,000km over the 10,000km warranty limit and 6 weeks past the 5 year time limit for drive train - so I'd like to make sure there aren't some simpler solutions. Any suggestions?
