In wet weather, have a problem with my rear end fishtailling on takeoff quite severely. The tires are new in the last year. I have even had this happen coming out of the car wash when the tires are just wet. Anyone recommend a good tire for both summer or winter for this car or have any suggestions. :Lookout!: The car is 2005c hemi.

What tires are you running ? Does your traction control kick in ? I run Toyo Proxe 4 here in the NW and don't have any problems

I too run Toyo Proxes 4 tires...seem to do well unless I really get on it hard in the wet...then all bets are off. But that would be the case with any tire.

I also run the toyo proxe 4 and they work great. Like Michael said only time I have a problem is when I get on the gas.

I run the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas, a world of difference! I agree as well with the gents above, the Toyo Proxes 4's are very good too. I also have Razors Edge Front Shock Tower Brace which has made a world of difference in handling in the wet. Yes, the front does affect the rear...The rear will stiffen it even more around turns.

Front install is here--

Another member SMosher has already done the rear, you can contact him about how his car is handling now:

Good luck-with tire selections

Welcome to the forum . I'm confused as to how it would do it with the traction control on too . Do you get the esp/bas squiggly light on the dash when it happens ? Mine is always off (i have it killed ) but when it was on it would keep this from happening via brake torue and throttle management in essence holding back the pwer temporarily till you have traction . WHat tires are you ruuning ? Stock contis ?

I just put Toyo Proxes on the front and love them. They are quieter and stick quite well.

I hate my tires , don't remember what they are lol , but I know it's not toyo or nitto or any expensive kind :) . I tend to stay home when it rains because car goes crazy even to a slight takeoff or gas. I HAVE to slowly crawl forward then build up the speed genetly , what fun is that lol . just curious what are the toyo or nitto for 265/35/22 go for? (sorry for threadjack)
