I have an 06 300 touring 3.5L and I was told my tcm was not the correct one. Can I get a used one and if so does it have to be programmed?
Not enough information to compute.

Yes, you can replace the TCM with a used unit. If we're talking about a 5-speed NAG1, you'll probably need to initialize the replacement TCM and reset adaptives. You might be able to do that with an advanced scantool, or AlfaOBD. You could try swapping it out and if you get any DTCs, you should be able to limp in to a dealer for the initialization and reset.

If you have the 4-speed 42RLE, you'll have to continue your research, I don't have the answer for that unit. Again, I suppose you could try swapping it out and see if it generates DTCs, but that's up to you.
