if you habe u connect you should have all your controls on the mirror?? right??
and there is no fee for uconnect.. i dont think there is.. lol i dont have it.. but why would there be a fee to use it????? should just pair to your phone... right?

 

Kinda what I thought too---don't think the guy knew what he was talking about so figured I would ask----after more checking I don't have the u-connect mirror so I am guessing I will need the wiring and mirror to make it work. Just on my radio if I push the button says u-connect not connected.

You dont need the u-connect mirror, there is microphone you can order from the dealer and have it installed, that's what I did for my car.

 

If you have a MyGiG it's built into the Radio.

The uconnect system does not need a monthly service contract it is blutooth connected only and voice activated. Push the button on your uconnect and when it ask you what you wish to do. Voice activate your phone by replying add phone. Then activate the bluetooth on your phone and it will start searching. once you are connected the bluetooth should work.

 

you have to go in your menu options and sync your phone / blue tooth ! it will pick it up in options and load your memory . then when u make a call from your phone it will go directly to your u connect . or push u connect and say call mom , it will call mom .

 

My buddy's new caravan se doesn't have the mygig but has the uconnect button on his radio but when you push it it says not connected.He found out later that the button was there but to have the full "uconnect" option he would have to pay more for the mic & other stuff it needs.I have the mygig in mine & like what was said above you just push the button & follow the prompts for set up.Ask the dealer to run your vin# to see if its installed or check your options sheet if you bought new.Good luck

 

Yes it should be built in your radio, when paired with your phone. Your phone have to have the same technology I think, such as voice dialing. I hope that it works out for you. One thing is that it drains your battery alot faster. Also your phone need blu-tooth tech

 

Okay from the sound of it, it sounds like you have the REN version which as stated has the button but it shows as not connected. You will need the mic, the correct bluetooth module, I believe #82211877 Uconnect module and then it will have to be Starscanned at the dealer.

 

the rear view mirror holds the mic internaly , atleast it does on my 2010 300

 

Need Help

I have a 2008 300C which has the RES deck with the phone buttons on it, but I do not have the mirror with the speakers. I know you can buy a mic, but I would prefer to have the mirror. I was hoping somebody would know the part numbers for the mirror and wiring harness. I have been searching, but havn't found what I need. I belive my system is slow speed bus, and the mirror has Auto Dim. Thank you to anyone that can help.:kap:
